Oh-la-la 😍 A converted bath vanity from antique and vintage furniture! This purchase is for an antique bathroom vanity 25" to 36" wide converted from an antique dresser or cabinet. Vanities are our specialty! In converting, we preserve the "look" of the original antique piece, reinforce the frame to hold granite / marble tops and other alterations to make it uniquely yours. After placing your order please send us your inspiration photos of designs you love. Sourcing will start immediately. Based on all the aspects you want in the vanity, we'll send pictures for you to select the starting antique. When you see the piece you love, that's the piece we'll do for you.

The first picture, is a gorgeous black French Provincial bath cabinet CUSTOM ORDERED by another Etsy buyer just like yourself. It serves as an example of the possibilities. We do all styles. Any size. We can easily do another similar to it! We added all the wood filigree adornments and crafted the drawer front doors and cabinet.

The original wood top is removed and not included. If you prefer to keep the wood top we can, we just need to know this when your order is placed. Sink, faucets, plumbing and countertop are NOT included. We work with your specs to ensure they all will fit perfectly.

All our furniture is sourced and restored right here in mid-central USA. Our furniture is hand picked, hand worked, hand refinished and hand packed. Purchase now, we'll start by locating a wonderful antique dresser to turn into a gorgeous, unique bathroom vanity cabinet for your master bath, powder room or guest bath. It's all for YOU and done YOUR WAY. Painted in one color of your choice. Old converted vanities are IN! They are fabulous for Victorian farmhouses, from brown stone renovations .... all the way to new construction estates. You finish locally with a stone top, old fashioned faucets and vessel, undermount or inset sinks. We ensure everything will fit perfectly.

INCLUDED CUSTOMIZATION:

1) Create an open, secure area for your plumbing, sink and faucet.

2) Clear your plumbing: Faux out and/or shorten drawers and modify with u shape and scoops.

3) Remove top and back, reinforce frame. Base installation ready.

4) Refurbish and clear coat drawers.

5) Stain cabinet interiors.

6) Finish: If painted: one color, solid or distressed coverage.
If stained: stain plus 2-3 coats waterproof satin top coat.

7) Add up to 8 pieces wood carved filigree, on painted pieces only.

8) Shorten height, at leg bottoms, if needed.

9) Mail traced template of top frame provided upon request.

10) Remove old wheels, and filling post holes.

11) Original antique hardware.


OPTIONAL ADD-ON CUSTOMIZATION:

- Increase/decrease depth $50 to $300
- Decrease height at body $400

- Create cabinet storage AND turning drawer fronts into doors $500

- Add inner sliding trays/drawers $250 each
- 2nd sink only: Create an open, secure area for 2nd sink and faucet $200

- Top Coat over Paint: 2-3 coats waterproof top coat on body. $150 to $300 depending on size and complexity. Add 2 weeks to production to allow paint to cure well first.

Our dressers are generally from the 1920's era. We select pieces with excellent craftsmanship, constructed from strong, old growth wood. All antique furniture have characteristic dents and dings here & there. We ensure there are no major faults. We use antique metal pulls and knobs, some with old patinas.

The process takes about 8 weeks. Finding time is allocated within this time. Status updates and pics are sent throughout the refinishing process. It's fun creating your vanity working with Camille! Share your ideas and we'll create your functional piece of art everyone will be envious of. 😍

Painting is by hand and by brush. It takes time and we properly apply multiple coats of paint. We do not spray paint our finishes. Stock colors are our own blends (see named color choices in the drop-down list). Your custom 1 color, selected from your local hardware store is extra. Metallic colors and 2-tones are also extra, please ask.
